Database growing infinitely

Shawn Y.
Hello,

Database can grow infinitely, especially the table metrics.  As part if it, is MySQL the right DB for stats? What is the VSM plans for statistics?

Thanks!

The days to retain metric data is configurable from “VSM Manage\Settings”, by default, vsm will retain 7-days data, it’s a bit lower than 5 Millions rows in metrics table. If this is harmful to other parts, you could also disable the ceph metrics and cpu metrics from the same page. Current performance metrics view is an overall, one possible direction is to have a complete performance management module, at that time, I assume performance data will be stored outside mariadb to avoid disturb.
